Precautions For Sse And Maintenance Of Carbide Thin Insert

08 Mar 2024

Thin carbide knives have extremely high wear resistance. Correct use can better improve the cutting effect and extend the service life of the blade. Otherwise, it can easily

cause the blade to break. Operators should pay attention to the following matters when using carbide thin knives.

Determine the accuracy level of the equipment to match the carbide thin knife. Check the accuracy level of your own equipment.

Because cemented carbide is a superhard material second only to diamond in hardness. Carbide thin cutting tools have high hardness and high wear resistance, but at the

same time they have poor toughness. It is easy to be brittle if it is improperly stressed or collided during operation, so the accuracy of the equipment must be carefully

checked before use. In particular, the four parts directly related to the hard thin knife: the knife mounting flange, the paper support, the grinding wheel equipment

(including bearings), and the blade lubrication device (part of the equipment) should be strictly checked to see if there is any looseness or looseness. Jumping phenomenon.

Otherwise, it must be replaced or repaired before installing the knife.

Install the knife

1. Check whether the tool holder has axial and radial runout; whether the tool holder bearing is damaged; whether the clamping surface is flat. (The knife installation surface

should not be high on the inside and low on the outside) Otherwise, it should be repaired before installing the knife.

2. Check whether there is any foreign matter on the cutter disc, and wipe it clean before installing the blade.

3. When installing the knife, the inner hole of the blade and the axis should not be too tight. The blade must be clamped in place and tightly connected to the flange.

Otherwise, the blade will be easily broken when the flange cover is tightened with screws. When tightening the blade bolt, it should be tightened at the angle, the force

should be even, and the tightness should be appropriate.

4. Some thin knife machines (slitting and creasing machines) are equipped with a lubrication system. The blade must be placed in the center of the lubrication groove. The

blade should be away from the lubrication center. There should be gaps on both sides of the blade and the lubrication groove. It is strictly forbidden to use the knife.
